and we fall down the hole
It's completely out of our hands, nothing we can do but wait. Twiddle our thumbs and shove that thought to the back of our mind. When the pressure finally becomes to much and the diamond dust stops falling, it will all be over. Nothing left. We will become an ordinary planet that once inhabited existence. The dark clouds will sweep up everything in its path, and then it will be our time to get picked up. The dust may settle one day and leave a once beautiful land, ruined. We can only imagine this day. This day that no one will remember, this day that no one will forget, this day that no one will know of. Billions of years may pass and finally luck may change, conditions may become habitable and life on earth may begin again. It will start as if nothing ever happened. When billions of years pass and modern technology becomes apparent, people may wonder if life ever existed before them. But they will never know, and neither will we.
